curser vs. cursor

When you wrote of a "curser" instead of a "cursor" when dealing with MS Word... was that a Freudian slip?
More on Word: how do you turn off automatic numbering?
I have looked in preferences but cannot find anywhere to disable auto numbering. We type price quotes with list of items and usually start with 1. Work automatically decides that we are starting a 1,2,3 list when it is not. This is very aggravating. please advise if you can. We are using Word 2007 for Mac.
